i’m not sure that words can make ‘the sober start’, but i know that we’re a prickly bunch, and if we don’t like the way things sound, then we’re reluctant to even reach out and try. my ideas were about speaking to people in a language they can understand. like saying ‘over-drinking’ instead of alcoholic. if we know that boozers are prickly, then why not go in the side door instead of challenging people head-on? that’s more of what i meant. does that make sense?
